At Reading Festival extra safety advice will be available after two alleged rapes at the Latitude fetsival in Suffolk last month.
Festival arranger Melvin Benn said additional information, guidelines and support will be on hand, particularly for girls aged under 18.
But he stressed music festivals were safe places and there would be even more stewards in high visibility jackets on site this year and that all the campsites will be well lit.
At the Love Parade Festival speaking of the crush in Germany, he added the strict licences in the UK prevented any such safety breaches.
Reading Festival takes place in Richfield Avenue over the Bank Holiday weekend in August.
