First Run Theatre Announces Selections for Reading Festival


The finalists of the 9th annual script submissions has been announced by First Run Theatre.These scripts were selected from full length and one act plays received from January 1 2010 to November 30 2010.

'The Kerpash Affair' by Richard LaViolette
'Divine's Grace' by Richard LaViolette
'Behind The Chair' by Jason Slavik

These plays will be presented as on-stage readings with actors and afterward audience discussion in the 9th Annual Play Reading Festival March 25,26, & 27 2011, in the Thomas Hunter Theatre at DeSmet Jesuit High School, 233 N New Ballas Road, Creve Coeur MO. From these readings First Run will select two scripts to be presented for the 9th season starting June 17th 2011.

My Chemical Romance To Play Reading Festival ?


It has been revealed that there is a possibility that My Chemical Romance could be set to headline the Reading festival.

'Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys' is the album released by band last year.

''We don’t really know at the moment which ones we’re doing but we are definitely doing some of the major UK festivals,'' frontman Gerard Way told Gigwise.

''We always love playing at Reading and Leeds, the UK crowds have always been great to us, so you never know.''

During an appearance at London's Wembley Arena on Saturday (February 12),the band keep the fans curious whether they will be headlining the festival.

Funeral Party for Reading Festival Confirmed

Participation by Funeral Party at Reading Festival has been confirmed by band on last night's 'In New Music We Trust' on Radio 1.

It has been replied by the band on one of the question asked by Nick Grimshaw if they can talk about festivals yet for this summer, they reply "Reading and Leeds!"

Reading Festival takes place at Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire.

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2011, expect a line-up of big names from the rock, alternative, indie, punk and metal scenes. The line-up plus general sale tickets will be released in Spring next year.
