Reading Festival promoters are set to release tickets for residents living close to the music event 48 hours before they go on general sale.

Tickets will go on sale from 1845 GMT on Saturday until midnight on Sunday for those with the correct postcodes. Both Reading Borough Council and South Oxfordshire District Council have revealed which postcodes are eligible for the offer to event promoters. Event organisers have warned that residents' tickets will become invalid if they are sold or transferred.

Residents have to enter their postcode which will be matched with those given by the council for the chance to buy two tickets.
